Can you buy just the brush & cloth?

No we only sell them in a kit.

Is this safe on finished fretboards that are painted or stained fretboards?

Due to the lower quality of this type of fretboard we do not recommend this kit as it may remove the paint or stain on the fretboard.

I have allergies to peanuts and other nuts, does F-ONE Oil contain nuts in the formula?

F-ONE Oil contains no nuts in our formula. We use a third party to make and bottle our F-ONE Oil Formula and can not guarantee that they are nut free facility so if you are extremely allergic to nuts we recommend you do not use F-ONE Oil.

What type of unfinished fretboard wood is F-ONE safe on?

We have yet to hear of one unfinished fretboard it does not work amazing on, even maple. For a more detailed list view our product advisor in the menu and many unfinished woods it has worked on is listed.

How often should I use F-ONE?

The great thing about our petroleum free, lemon oil free, natural oil formulation we have, is it conditions for months. Lemon oil is petroleum based so it looks great for a few days and then starts to dry out the wood.  If you play every day then use F-ONE every 4 to 6 months. If you play just 1 to 2 times a week, use every 6-9 months.  Also, if your guitar is exposed to low humidity conditions you may need to do more often.

Will F-ONE work on all unfinished instrument wood besides my fretboard?

Works great for unfinished wood bridges and tuning pegs.

Does F-ONE contain any petroleum, lemon oil or silicone?

No.

My guitar body and back of the neck seem to be unfinished wood, will F-ONE work on them?

Often Matte finishes look unfinished but there is a seal in them that is hard to see. A seal of any kind over or in the wood will just block F-ONE from penetrating it and would not recommend it.

The body of my guitar and back of the neck is for sure unfinished wood. Will F-ONE work on them?

Yes it will. Remember a little goes a long way with our oil and you don’t want the back of the neck feeling oily. Don’t overuse.

Is your F-ONE formulation Vegan?

Yes.

I see a date on the bottle is that the expiration date?

No that is the date that we filled the bottle.

What is the shelf life for this bottle?

Each bottle has a date marked on when we filled it. If stored at room temperature the shelf life should be 3 years, but for sure can last longer.  Always shake the bottle well before using. If it ever smells bad it may have gone bad. This is a natural product so if not stored at room temperature or if bacteria gets in it, it can go rancid. This is very rare and we will replace it at no charge if you bought it within 3 years of the date on the product, email us at info@musicnomad.com and give us the details.

I used the F-ONE oil in my repair shop. I finished a fret job on a maple neck that was in need of cleanup. I only used a few drops and was surprised on how well it cleaned up the smudges and remnants of the fret work that could have stained the neck. I have also noticed that new maple guitars seem to feel or have a chalky layer on the neck. I used, again, a small amount of F-ONE and to my amazement it not only removed the chalky feel from the neck, the luster of the neck became apparent. This is a great product and I will continue to use it on my guitars in the shop and my personal collection.

The MusicNomad F-ONE Oil is better THAN ANYTHING ELSE I HAVE TRIED for a variety of reasons.

1) after it dries, the fingerboard does not look and feel dried out.

2) the thick consistency of the oil means that I can drop it on the neck without it running down the sides of the guitar and onto my pants.

3) the applicator tip makes it easy to precisely apply the oil accurately without mess or waste.

4) believe it or not, the shape of the bottle makes it easy to grab the bottle and apply it without worrying about the angle or side of the applicator. OTHER PRODUCTS COME IN A flat bottle with a “lotion-like” top/applicator. You press on the round top and a spout/hole opens up on ONE side of the bottle. If you grab it wrong, you have to put it down and grip it from the other side. When working on guitars, one hand is usually engaged in holding and stabilizing the guitar while the other hand reaches for tools, etc. The bottle/applicator of F-ONE Oil is a really great feature of the product.

5) it takes very little of the product to obtain the desired effect I am enjoying the product and will be using it exclusively on all of my guitars.
