- The fully adjustable 6″ (15 cm) Fret Beveling B-File features a versatile 2 ‘n 1 design with a 23° angle for creating the ideal fret bevel and a 3° angle for initial filing, fret sprout, flush filing or tang removal. Its curved, wide underside spans the fretboard to keep the file centered for consistent results, while the replaceable file offers a Double Cut side for faster, coarse material removal and a Single Cut side for fine removal and a smooth finish on nickel silver, EVO gold and stainless steel fret wire.
- The Fret End Dressing E-File is the perfect solution to fix fret sprout & sharp fret ends by deburring, shaping, smoothing and rounding. Unlike common toothed fret end files, our exclusive design features medical grade stainless steel with a 280 grit Diamond Coated cutting surface that allows for even, smooth and precise filing that both cuts and polishes simultaneously.
- We designed the Fret End E-File with two types of non-marring safe edges to enhance functionality. One safe edge is perfectly flat and polished smooth. The other safe edge (identified with an arrow on the handle) is slightly radiused and polished smooth. In addition, all four corners are slightly rounded to avoid damage to the fretboard.
- The 6 pc. Tracers Fret Finishing Kit comes with everything you need to polish out your frets to a smooth, mirror shine after fret crowning, fret beveling, fret dressing or fixing fret sprout.
- The custom designed Tracers handles give you total comfort and control while reducing hand fatigue. They come with 4 Micro-Mesh grits (1000, 3600, 6000, 12000) that are marked in the order to polish: 1, 2, 3, 4. Our 2 ‘n 1 Tracers Fret End Handle is designed to have the Micro-Mesh loops slide around the block utilizing the hard blue plastic side to run up and down the fret ends to polish the bevels. Flip around the block to use the soft black foam side and run up and down the fret ends to polish the fret corners.

What is the purpose of the arrow on the E-File handle?
The E-File has two safe edges, one flat and one slightly radiused. Since the radius is very slight, the arrow points to the radiused safe edge.
What does the “r” mean on the E-File?
Since the radius is very slight, the “r” on the file indicates that side of the file is the radiused safe edge.
What is the radius of the underside of the B-File? What if my fretboard radius doesn’t match the radius of the B-File?
The B-File has a 9.5” radius on the bottom side. Even if your fret board radius differs from 9.5”, the radius allows the bevel file to stay centered and balanced on the fretboard while filing, providing consistent results throughout the length of the fretboard.
How Much Pressure should I put on the tracers?
Normal pressure is needed, just be careful not to apply too much pressure. The cushioned abrasive cuts with the abrasive crystal tips. The sharp cutting edges are floating on a resilient matrix. Extreme pressure pushes the tips back into the matrix rendering them ineffective.
