Matt started working on his own guitars as soon as he picked one up, and that curiosity for gear never left. One night in Nashville he filled in as a tech for a show, which turned into his first road gig with Thompson Square and a crash course in life on tour. That led to a full-time spot with Elle King, and when that run wrapped, he joined Morgan Wallen’s crew in 2019 and has been with them ever since. Matt says he’s a player who accidentally fell into the tech world, and he’s grateful to Morgan, Tyler, and the camp for giving him that opportunity back then—it’s been incredible to watch Morgan grow as both an artist and a person.
