Small in size but big in results our 6″/15cm overall length is a must have for every guitar case.

Can this tighten strat style recessed nuts on the jack?

Yes, the black end is a ½” socket with a thin wall.

Will this tool fit for tightening the nut on a Stratocaster style guitar jack?

Yes, the black end is a ½” socket with a thin wall.

Will this strip?

If used for guitar care, it should not, but over time you may have some wear and tear. The Octopus handle is made of a really strong special plastic that won’t scratch or ding your hardware, so make sure you use the correct size and that all 6 sides of the wrench are engaged on the nut to avoid slipping and damage to the Octopus.

Can I use this to take off and replace tuning machine bushings?

In most cases it is great for this, but if the hex nut on the bushing is extremely tight and does not budge then you may need a thicker metal wrench to remove them to avoid damaging the Octopus.

Can I use this to tighten the nut on my strap locks?

It’s great for that if the nut matches the one of our sizes.

Already used mine to fix my custom built that had a bad volume control….easy to use and no worries about scratching the surface. Needed this years ago.

This is an amazing addition to my toolkit – this is going to make routine maintenance easier and super-fast. I’m going to order an extra for my gig tool kit and one for my home toolbox. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to do simple maintenance. Quality construction, all the sizes you’ll need…this is already one of my go to set up tools.

I got mine last week and it’s awesome. Seems really sturdy and I’ve already used to to tighten up two different guitars. Freed up some room in the gig bag.
