Q: Will this tool fit for tightening the nut on a Stratocaster style guitar jack?

A: Yes, the black end is a ½” socket with a thin wall.

Q: Will this strip?

A: If used for guitar care, it should not, but over time you may have some wear and tear. The Octopus handle is made of a really strong special plastic that won’t scratch or ding your hardware, so make sure you use the correct size and that all 6 sides of the wrench are engaged on the nut to avoid slipping and damage to the Octopus.

Q: Can I use this to take off and replace tuning machine bushings?

A: In most cases it is great for this, but if the hex nut on the bushing is extremely tight and does not budge then you may need a thicker metal wrench to remove them to avoid damaging the Octopus.

Q: Can I use this to tighten the nut on my strap locks?

A: It’s great for that if the nut matches the one of our sizes.
